  • Body Odor

    PRECAUTIONS
    There is a direct relation between what a person eats and his body odor. Avoid refined sugar, white flour, hydrogenated oils and other processed foods. Avoid red meat because it releases many toxins into the blood stream. Avoid foods that lack fiber. Avoid alcohol, caffeine, cumin and garlic.
    Eat a healthy diet which contains whole grains, lots of leafy vegetables, sprouts, fresh fruits, soy products, raw nuts and so on.
    Never repeat unwashed clothes, especially undergarments during summer, it will aggravate the odor. Wax your armpits regularly.

    REMEDIES
    • Take 2 tablespoon of baking powder, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and apply this mixture on the body parts like neck, underarms. It is very helpful especially in summers to control your body odor.
    • Prepare a mixture of few drops of glycerin and radish juice. It acts as a good home remedy for controlling body odor. Apply this mixture on feet, underarms, neck etc.
    • In order to prevent excess sweating, you can rub slices of potatoes under your arms. This will keep you cool and control your body odor and perspiration.
    • Mix rosemary oil or tea tree oil in a small quantity of water and use this mixture on underarms, neck, chest, back, and thighs. This is very useful in getting rid of body odor and perspiration.

    Dark underarms

    PRECAUTIONS
    If you are exposed to a chemical agent, wash your skin with a mild cleanser and water as soon as you can.
    To keep the air around you moist, use a humidifier at home and work.
    If your skin is prone to dermatitis, choose untreated cotton or other natural fiber fabrics for clothing. Make sure clothing is not too tight.
    After washing your hands or bathing, apply a lotion that has no preservatives or scents while your skin is still damp

    REMEDIES
    • Milk is a useful ingredient for treating dark skin occurrence at armpits. Mix milk with equal quantity of curd and gram flour. You may also add a pinch of turmeric powder in the mixture. Apply this over the area and keep for at least 20 minutes, before rinsing with cold water.
    • An effective home remedy to treat dark underarms is to use lemon. Take a piece of lemon and rub it on the armpits
    • Baking soda also acts favorably in curing the darkness of the underarms. After bath, apply some baking soda onto the armpits.
    • Make a paste using 1 tsp of lime juice, 1 tsp of cucumber juice as well as a hint of turmeric powder. Apply this paste on your armpits and wash off after 20 minutes

    Hair loss

    PRECAUTIONS
    Do not apply chemical-based bleach, hair curler, hair dryers, chemical based hair gels, and hair colors. These things dry your hair and make them look lifeless and hard.
    Clean your hair regularly. Set a good routine for hair care..
    Drink plenty of water as water is good for health and hair.
    Regular trimming of the hair will prevent split ends.
    Do not apply chemical based shampoos excessively as it takes away the natural shine.
    Include green vegetables, fruits, sprouts, honey, cereals, nuts, grains, milk products, and no cholesterol rich food in your diet.

    REMEDIES
    • Mustard oil, boiled with henna leaves is useful in healthy growth of hair. About 250 grams of mustard oil should be boiled in tinned basin. A little quantity of henna leaves should be gradually put in this oil till about 60 grams of these leaves are burnt in the oil. The oil should then be filtered through a cloth and stored well in a bottle. A regular massage of the head with this oil will produce abundant hair.
    • Take a pot of water and soak a few fenugreek seeds in it. Massage it in the scalp and wrap a cloth for about 3 hours. Repeat this procedure for a month to get treated of hair loss.
    • Take uncooked egg yolk and massage it on the scalp. Keep it for an hour and then wash off.
    • Apply castor oil on the scalp and the roots but not on hair. Wrap hair with newspaper and tie it with a cloth. Keep it overnight and wash it in the morning. Repeat this for 7 to 10 days.
    • In a cup of boiling water,add a tsp of mustard seeds. Cook it for about 5 minutes and allow it to cool. Once cooled, drink this concoction.
    • Rub olive oil on the scalp. This would help reduce hair loss.
